Shows to Check Out in New York This Weekend (June 15-17, 2018)

The New York music scene is one of the most vibrant in the world. Whether it’s large-scale national tours rolling through or local and independent artists playing small clubs, there is always something going on. And with the weekend almost here, this is the perfect time to check out a live show.

There is a lot going on this weekend in the New York area, even if traveling to New Jersey for Journey and Def Leppard or Upstate New York for Foreigner and Whitesnake isn’t your bag. Both WBLI and WKTU are holding their annual summer festival shows this weekend. Indie rock fans will have the chance to check out shows from Stephen Makmus & The Jicks, The Magnetic Fields and alt-J. Roger Daltrey will be bringing new life to a Who classic for Father’s Day.  There is even a free show from iconic funk band Kook & the Gang among the many, many shows happening this weekend.
