In case you haven’t heard, last November a new record store
opened up in Long Island, NY. Some of you may say Records…Who still plays records? The answer might surprise you. For
many Long Islanders, they never stopped spinning their vinyl collections and
their collections have continued to grow. But for others, the trend has
becoming wildly popular.
Since its grand opening in November of 2015, Vinyl Bay 777
is a local hot spot for both “vintage” vinyl and newly released music on vinyl,
too. Most will rank it among the Best Music Stores Long Island. Almost everyone that has been to Vinyl Bay 777 is
struck as they pull their car into a parking space. Two huge garage doors
painted with all your favorite musicians, from Elvis Presley and Michael
Jackson, to Taylor Swift and Biggie Smalls. Then, once you step inside… You
have thousands and thousands of albums on vinyl. All of which are in clear bags
preventing shelf wear AND they’re graded! How great is that? The best part of
all is that almost all records in the store are graded Mint, with a handful
graded at VG++ or VG+. To me, that is one of the best parts.
If you never really got into spinning vinyl and still play
your CDs, Vinyl Bay 777 also has enough CDs to make your head spin. CD stores
are hard to come by these days. Aside from Best Buy and other electronic stores
that sell newly released CDs, it is almost impossible to find that old favorite
CD you used to have, but lent to a friend who never returned it to you. Vinyl
Bay 777 carries “pre-owned” CDs as well as TONS of sealed CDs. Don’t get me
wrong, id rather a new and sealed CD, too but when that CD isn’t being made
anymore and, lets be honest, what are the chances of finding a CD from 1994 that
is still sealed? Slim to none; that’s
22 years ago, people. Vinyl Bay 777 has more CDs than any other CD store Long Island than I have ever
seen. Not to mention their prices. Their CDs are excellently priced, even the
sealed ones!
So for those of you that still haven’t been to Vinyl Bay 777
yet… It is time that you make the trip! It is hands down of the Best Music Stores Long Island, as well
as a gem of a CD Store Long Island .
